Allanton World Peace Sanctuary is the European Sanctuary of the World Peace Prayer Society, an international organisation with NGO status, supporting the United Nations mission for realising World Peace. The Society’s Headquarters are in New York, and there are offices in San Francisco, Munich and Tokyo.
The Society aspires to a world in which all different races, ethnic groups, religions, cultures, customs, and all forms of life are respected. They can help to build our civilisation to become one in which there is a harmonious balance between material and spiritual values.
The Apex Dumfries U-Turn volunteers have been coming to Allanton over the last three years, helping in the walled garden with many tasks involved in keeping fruit and vegetables growing all year round and also helping out with the various maintenance jobs around the property. Allanton provides a delicious lunch for all the volunteers using their own fresh produce from the garden.
