Over a period of 3 years, with the support of our service users and volunteers Apex Highland has successfully completed its learning trail in Abriachan Forest which was formally launched on 3rd May 2013. The work for the team involved building a new path network and upgrading existing paths to make them suitable for all abilities. A slabbed viewing platform was added at the new pond and different learning materials have been included to allow interaction with young, old and impaired people.
At the launch all those who attended took part in different types of treasure hunts and feasted on a wonderful BBQ lunch. John Muir conservation certificates were presented to Apex service users and volunteers for their hard work and commitment in creating the learning trail.
