Apex Stranraer’s U Turn group of volunteers have completed another community project. The volunteers have been at Rephad primary in Stranraer building a hen enclosure. The school had wanted to have a few hens in the school to encourage the children to learn about food, caring for and managing animals and contacted the team to see if they could help. The Headteacher, Alistair Young, said:
“We were delighted that Apex Stranraer U Turn were able to help us out with a project to build an enclosure for hens on holiday. None of this would have been possible without the skills and labour provided by Apex. We are really grateful for their help and support, the U Turn service is a great project that is working hard to put something back into our local community and we can’t thank them enough.”
