An Easter Tearoom was held at Apex in Stranraer recently to raise funds for the Moving In project which provides Home Packs of essential basic home wares to people moving into homeless accommodation in the area.
Cream teas, home made scones and cakes were served at the Tearoom and enjoyed by all. Volunteers also raised money by selling donated items and knitwear made by the ladies of the Apex WAG group. Building Healthy Communities SHAWL group contributed to the morning by running a home baking stall and very generously donated all proceeds to the Moving In project. The event was a great success and £240 was raised.
To date 26 packs have been given out and this latest fundraiser will allow Moving In to continue this good work. Donations of small non-electrical home goods for the project continue to be gratefully accepted at Apex Stranraer, 2 Back Rampart, High Street, Stranraer, DG9 7LW tel. 01776 700 973
