As a conclusion to group sessions looking at crime and its consequences, Kirkland High School Inclusion Unit organised a visit to Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court. The young people wanted to visit the court to experience being a member of the jury and listened to a variety of cases.
The visit was thought-provoking for all the young people who recognised that time in court could be a real situation for them as a result of the choices they may make in the future. The visit has inspired them to attempt to make positive changes to their behaviour to prevent this from happening.
Meanwhile, the 3rd year Flexible Curriculum group from Lochgelly High School visited the court as part of their ASDAN Programme, witnessing the proceedings of a live drug court.
