Noel first came to Apex Scotland’s Highland Hub through a community service placement. At the time, he had no formal skills and little experience navigating the “real world.” But from the beginning, Noel showed a willingness to learn and grow.
My experience of referring service users to Apex Scotland has consistently been positive, with joint meetings offered to ascertain specific need and support required, and good provision of updates.
Whitney was referred to SHINE in August 2023 by Justice Social Work as a Structured Deferred Sentence (SDS).
Referral from Justice Services and on completion of an initial assessment Dave was assessed to start his Apex Client Journey at stage 2 – Barrier Removal.

Previous to starting the Apex Scotland Build It Course, I worked in Social Housing (Housing Associations) for 30 years. I went through quite a difficult relationship breakdown, and it affected every part of my life.
As a teen I was a troubled young man, I had experienced a lot of trauma and had even more issues I could not deal with as a young person.
