Pupils from Lochgelly and Dunfermline High School’s Inclusion Units joined forces at the recent Scottish Learning Festival to spread the word about the work that Apex does in their schools and how it has impacted on them. Apex staff, Lynne Proctor and Kirsty Yeoman, accompanied the young people to the event held in the SECC, Glasgow. Along with Dunfermline High School teacher, Mr Gardiner, and the pupils, Lynne and Kirsty delivered a very well received 45 minute seminar entitled “What Life Envelop(e)s” showing professionals from all sectors of education the work that is undertaken in an Inclusion Unit and outlining the change it can bring about in terms of improved behaviour, attendance and academic achievement.
