This service involves mutual aid recovery groups which empower and support individuals to maintain an alcohol/drug free lifestyle that will prepare them to lead a substance and offending free life.
Apex provides a support group for people in recovery, using tools from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Rational Emotive Therapy.
The Highland team deliver 2 Smart groups in partnership with the Scottish Prison Service – one in the Highland unit and one in HMP Inverness. The third Smart group is delivered solely by Apex within Osprey House, Inverness.
This service is for individuals who are in recovery from drugs, alcohol and compulsive behaviours who are progressing through the criminal justice system
Anyone in the Highland area is welcome to contact this service. Referrals can be made by email or phone through criminal justice social work, treatment and rehabilitation services such as Osprey House or Beechwood House and Ascend.
