Apex Scotland delivers a range of training from our offices throughout Scotland to service users, members of the public and on behalf of other organisations. This includes the popular CSCS green labourer’s card, and various vocational courses such as Emergency First Aid at Work. Some of these courses can be supported through ITA funding. We now require an administrator to join our head office team to be responsible for the administration of this training function.
The right candidate will be willing to learn and perform a number of procedures to ensure all training information is up to date, accurate and processed correctly. You will deal with enquiries primarily by telephone and email but will also be required to assist trainees in person. Excellent communication skills will enable you to ask the right questions and gather the correct information needed to book trainees on to the relevant courses and process the relevant paperwork as well as liaising with Apex’s training team. You will be required to maintain a database of training information as well as record and upload details on different management systems. You will be responsible for making sure trainees receive all the information they need to attend their course, as well as liaise with funders and other organisations to make sure they receive details of the next stages of their training or certificates when required. Full training will be given.
The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative is important in this role, along with a responsible attitude, good communication and team working skills, an eye for detail and a focus on customer care. Some general office and reception duties will also be part of the role. Previous office experience is not essential however this post would suit someone who is willing to learn, can demonstrate organisational and communication skills and has some knowledge or experience of using Microsoft packages such as outlook, word, excel or access.
