Apex Scotland is the leading employment and training organisation specialising in work with people with convictions.
The expanding services Apex delivers in the Highlands are diverse, comprised of a range of partnerships with organisations such as DWP, Criminal Justice Social Work, Scottish Prison Service, Skills Development Scotland, NHS Highland, and many more, supporting a range of client groups to access training, volunteer and employment opportunities.
The Apex Highland unit provides a range of services to individuals who face multiple barriers to returning to work and individuals who may be long term unemployed.
To support the managers and staff who oversees these growing services, Apex now requires a dynamic and highly organised Administrator to join the team.
The Administrator will undertake general day to day office and reception duties and play a pivotal role in working alongside the Centre Co-ordinator to ensure contract compliance. Due to the range of the many services we deliver, administration support will range from assisting the team with collating information, document production, research, and file and database maintenance. The role is very hands-on and the right candidate will be proactive in helping staff and service users with a range of tasks to help the team achieve their goals. These could include helping the outdoor team prepare for a busy day, to assisting a service user with paperwork where required. A large part of the role will be responsibility for administering a petty cash system which allows the team to access the funds they need whilst keeping an accurate and up to date record. Office experience would be an advantage, a responsible attitude, good communication and team working skills, plenty of initiative and an eye for detail are essential.
