Apex Inclusion is a key component in our delivery of effective and time appropriate services to vulnerable individuals who may be at risk of offending. We have recently agreed a partnership with Harlaw Academy in Aberdeen. The Inclusion service aims to improve the life choices and chances of these potentially vulnerable young people, as well as reducing the number of exclusions and progressions to off-campus provision.
Apex Inclusion and Harlaw Academy will work in conjunction to equip pupils with the motivation and skills required to engage in a formal learning environment; reduce exclusion; raise aspiration; tackle ingrained behaviour; attitudes; improve family relationships and increase attainment and attendance, contributing to more young people entering positive destinations when they leave school.
We now require one new staff member to join our team.
For this post you will have experience of working with socially excluded young people and be able to develop and deliver a training programme that identifies and meets the needs of individuals. Experience of delivering group work and one to ones with young people overcoming multiple barriers are essential for supporting participants to achieve their potential. The ability to work with a range of other disciplines is also essential. As this post is school based, staff will be required to take annual leave during school holiday periods and not during school term time.
Job share applications will be considered.
