Due to changes within Apex’s finance team, including an impending retirement, we have a vacancy within the team based in our Edinburgh head office. We now require an Assistant Accountant.
Working as part of a small team, you will have excellent accounting knowledge and experience to participate in the production of accounts and management information. A high degree of IT literacy will be necessary to participate fully in the supervision of project cost centres, analysis and reporting. Particular knowledge of Sage Line 200, Sage Payroll and Microsoft Excel is essential.
The post holder will support the Apex Accountant in all aspects of the finance department in the production of accounts for Apex Scotland and our subsidiary company All Cleaned Up. They will require excellent organisational, communication and record keeping skills to undertake the variety of tasks involved. This will including monthly payroll and related tasks including auto-enrolment pensions processing and HMRC updates as well as monthly accounts, annual accounts, budgeting, project monitoring and general financial control and administration.
