Apex services in the Central East area (Tayside, Forth Valley and Fife) are now expanding.
The services Apex delivers in Central East are diverse, comprised of a range of partnerships with organisations such as DWP, Criminal Justice Social Work, Scottish Prison Service, Skills Development Scotland and many more, supporting a range of client groups to access employment opportunities.
Key client groups supported include (ex)offenders, prison returners, care leavers and young people in the NEET category. Our services support individuals who face multiple barriers to return to work and who may be long term unemployed.
To support the Service Development Manager who oversees these growing services and staff teams, Apex Scotland now requires a dynamic and highly organised Centre Co-ordinator to operate across the Central East area. The Centre Co-ordinator will undertake day to day project management and staff supervision, have office management responsibilities and will be expected to represent and promote the organisation locally and nationally. The Centre Co-ordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring contract compliance, performance management service and business development.
For this post you will have knowledge or experience of project management and staff supervision. Experience of working in a community environment or frontline services with vulnerable groups would be an advantage. Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and Employability Skills Pipelines would be advantageous. The base for this post can be negotiated within the geographical area covered. It is anticipated that there will be extensive travel throughout the area therefore a driving license and access to a means of transport is essential.
