The services Apex Scotland delivers in the Aberdeen area are diverse, comprised of a range of partnerships with organisations such as DWP, Criminal Justice Social Work, Scottish Prison Service and many more, supporting a range of client groups to access employment opportunities.
Key client groups supported include (ex-) offenders, prison returners, veterans, care leavers and young people in the NEET category. Our services support individuals who face multiple barriers to return to work, and who may be long term unemployed. We also work with families as Apex works in partnership with the Scottish Prison Service to offer a video-conferencing facility in Aberdeen for friends and family of prisoners.
To support the Service Development Manager who oversees these growing services and staff teams, Apex Grampian now requires a dynamic and highly organised Centre Co-ordinator to oversee the day to day running of the services. The Centre Co-ordinator will undertake day to day project management and staff supervision, have office management responsibilities and will be expected to represent and promote the organisation locally and nationally. The Centre Co-ordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring contract compliance, performance management, service and business development.
For this post you will have knowledge or experience of project management and staff supervision. Experience of working in a community environment or frontline services with vulnerable groups would be an advantage. Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and Employability Skills Pipelines would be advantageous. This post is based in our Aberdeen city centre office. It is anticipated that there will be some travel throughout the area therefore a driving license and/or access to a means of transport would be an advantage but not essential.
Part time/job share applications will be considered, please state on application.
Please note there are two additional questions to be answered and submitted along with the application form.
In view of the nature of this post, the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG scheme.
