We now have a vacancy based in our Aberdeen city centre project which provides a range of provision, including services supporting criminal justice social work, youth justice and mentoring. If you would like to play a part in this exciting initiative, we now require a Personal Development Mentor to join our team.
For this post you will have knowledge or experience of employability assessment of clients with specific needs, and working with people of differing abilities. An understanding of the criminal justice system would also be desirable. You will be responsible for developing and delivering an exciting and engaging group work programme working on life skills and specific employability skills. This will also include using your initiative to develop sessions to work one to one with people, with the aim of improving employment, training and education options, alongside encouraging personal and social responsibility and self-respect.
Experience of delivering group work and working with people in a one to one setting is essential. Knowledge or experience of basic microsoft office packages including databases is essential. Good organisational and administration skills are essential. We work closely with other organisations to meet the needs of our diverse client group therefore experience of multi-agency working is desirable. As there will be training and travel involved in this role, a current driving licence and/or access to a means of transport is essential. Job share applications will be considered.
