All Cleaned Up Scotland is Apex Scotland’s social enterprise business, based in Edinburgh with services covering Edinburgh, the Lothians, Glasgow, Fife and the Dundee area. We undertake a range of services including industrial and void property cleaning, and clearance works, stairwell and window cleaning. As a social enterprise business we provide opportunities for those finding it difficult to find employment, to gain work experience and gain qualifications in the cleaning industry. We do this mainly through various means including Community Jobs Scotland and our Secret Jobs service, funded through the Employability Challenge Fund from City of Edinburgh Council.
Secret Jobs, our largest service in Edinburgh is designed to support unemployed people to progress towards or move into employment, by using a mentoring approach. The service achieves this by assisting individuals to reach their goals by breaking down barriers including lack of self-confidence, lack of work experience or qualifications and addressing issues raised by criminal records. The Project Development Officer will help re-engage individuals into meaningful, positive activity through work experience and training.
The aims of the service are that all attendees who complete an action plan with the Secret Jobs service will be equipped with life skills, core and basic employability skills, recognised qualifications in the cleaning industry as well as relevant experience.
If you feel you have the motivation and skills to join our team based in Edinburgh, as we as assisting with providing support to the team, please apply. Part time/job share applications will be considered, please state on application.
Funding has been secured for a period of 1 year to end of March 2017, and is subject to annual performance reviews. Therefore we now require a dynamic, self motivated and hard working individual who is able to motivate and inspire change in others. The Project Development Officer will work as part of a small team to proactively source work experience, learning and activity based opportunities and be involved in the facilitation of these opportunities.
For this post you will have knowledge or experience of employability barriers. Experience of working with a caseload of service users and working to targets are essential.
