Apex Scotland delivers a number of innovative services throughout the North East of Scotland including services funded through, and working in partnership with, local authorities, a variety of local partnerships and delivery of training accessible through Individual Training Accounts (formerly ILA’s).
Due to an internal restructuring to accommodate new services, we now have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic member of staff to join our senior management team covering services in the Aberdeen and Tayside areas. The post is funded, initially, to the end of December 2018. We are hopeful of an extension to funding beyond that time. This post can be based in either our Aberdeen or Dundee office.
The successful candidate will be a self starter who can demonstrate excellent networking and management skills. You will be responsible for overseeing the running of the services in these areas, as well as line management responsibility for the staff to ensure the effective delivery of services to contract specifications. You will have responsibility for the overall operational management to ensure that the units meet their strategic goals and performance targets. You will also maintain and develop relationships with funders and partner agencies to maintain and expand the services in the area. You will have excellent communications skills, an understanding of report and bid writing, supervisory experience with the ability to motivate staff as well as knowledge of the Criminal Justice System. Knowledge of funding initiatives and local provisions in the area covered would be an advantage.
Due to the large geographical area the successful candidate must have access to their own vehicle or mode of transport for which appropriate travel will be reimbursed.
In view of the nature of this post and the services this post will oversee, the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG scheme.
