We offer a range of services to adults and young people in the Tayside, Fife and Forth Valley areas. We have secured funding through our partners in Dundee Criminal Justice Social Work to try to increase the uptake of people utilising ILA funding to increase their knowledge and skills through funded recognised training. We now require a Training Development Mentor to join our team.
The Training Development Mentor will specifically focus on the delivery of Apex training courses through Individual Learning Account (ILA) provision. The Training Mentor will primarily deliver training to Apex clients, while they will also be required to deliver some Apex staff training. The Training Mentor will be required to primarily operate in the Tayside area, while there will also be the requirement to deliver in other geographical areas on occasion, particularly in the Fife and Forth Valley areas.
One of the initial objectives of the role will be to develop a strategy to market Apex ILA provision in the target areas and to establish a steady flow of business. Knowledge and experience of assessment of training needs, training delivery and evaluation are essential. Due to the nature of this role, travel throughout the area will be essential therefore a driving license and/or access to a means of transport are also essential. The successful candidate will require to be highly organised, with a good eye for detail, the ability to liaise with service users and other organisations and complete complex paperwork.
This post is initially funded to 31 March 2016 with possible extension.
The successful candidate will be or become a member of the PVG Scheme for vulnerable adults due to the nature of the work.
