Due to new business in Fife, we are looking to recruit sessional staff to join our Apex Inclusion school services team. Apex Scotland offers a diverse range of services for young people and adults to help them break down barriers to employment and engage in education, employment or community activities.
We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals who have experience of delivering training programmes to groups of young people. We will provide all the training required and you will provide effective communication skills, personality, dynamism and sound organisational skills. Experience of working with those considered harder to reach or support would be an advantage
The successful candidates will have an aptitude for delivering innovative group sessions and the ability to engage with young people on a one to one basis to assist them to overcome barriers to progression. An understanding of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) would be beneficial but not essential as training in this area will be provided. You would need to demonstrate flexibility as some travel may be required therefore a driving license or access to a means of transport would be an advantage.
Whilst having previous experience of delivering programmes or training to young people would be an advantage, as we will be providing training on the delivery content, the most important factor is that the right person is approachable and friendly, and above all is non-judgemental.
If you would like to discuss the posts informally please contact Karen Pryde, Schools Development Manager on 07767164571 or karen.pryde@apexscotland.org.uk.
In view of the nature of this post and the requirement to work with children and/or vulnerable adults, these post holders will be required to join the relevant PVG scheme.
