We are looking for a maternity cover Personal Development Mentor to join our team in the Forth Valley area to covering our service we deliver in partnership with Justice Social Work.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who has effective communication skills and an understanding of the nature of issues that unemployed individuals, some of whom who may have been involved in the justice system, or others who may be at risk of being involved in the justice system, may present with.
The right candidate will have the ability to engage with service users on a one to one basis to assist them to overcome barriers to progression. An understanding of local employability pipelines would be an advantage, as would knowledge of the network of support agencies in the area. You would need to demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work in partnership and deal with targets. Some travel may be required therefore a driving licence and/or access to a means of transport would be an advantage. The post will be based in Alloa for a period of up to six months to February 2024. After this period we may be able to discuss further part time work if available
For this service you should be able to demonstrate good communication skills, be approachable and compassionate and have knowledge or experience of employability. Experience of working to deadlines and targets is desirable. Good team working skills are essential as the post holder will work closely with Justice Social Work to deliver this service.
In view of the nature of this post and the requirement to work with vulnerable adults, this post holders will be required to join the relevant PVG scheme.

Rate of pay: Salary Scale £22,597 - £24,883 per annum
Hours of work: 35 hours per week. Part time/job share can be discussed.
