Staff and pupils from Apex Scotland’s Dunfermline High School Inclusion Unit were thrilled that the successful results of their efforts to reduce exclusion numbers in the school was recognised and broadcast by the BBC’s One Show on Tuesday 29 May.
The item focused on a visit made by the pupils to HMP Perth as part of the structured activities offered in the Inclusion Unit. The short film captured the profound impact that being inside the prison and meeting some of the inmates had on the group and featured interviews with some of the pupils about how the work they undertook in the Inclusion Unit had changed the way they felt about school and their behaviour.
