Inclusion Pupils achieve The Saltire Approach award
Two fourth year pupils who have been part of the Inclusion Unit at Lochgelly High School were awarded The Saltire Approach award for achieving ten hours of volunteering.
Lifeskills volunteers help at dog home
A group of young local people – run by Apex Scotland at Cooperage Way in Alloa – have been carrying out voluntary work at Bandweath Dog Shelter in Throsk near Stirling. They travel through on a weekly basis to help out at the Shelter and understand that voluntary work is a valuable tool to have on their CV when applying for jobs.
All Cleaned Up to the rescue following cyanide spill in Western Isles
Apex Scotland’s industrial cleaning and waste removal social enterprise All Cleaned Up was able to use its hazardous waste removal expertise to deal with the safe disposal of some sodium cyanide canisters following an incident on the Isle of Lewis.
